Whether you want to assist with a workshop, help plan and produce our events, or help with mailings, we welcome the support.
Please fill in the following form and hit the "submit" button below. Once we've received your information we will contact you to set up a brief orientation in our office at your convenience. At this time we will also request information and permission to conduct a background check. When these three steps are complete, you are ready to dive into our programs and become one of our valued volunteers!
Please note: Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
As a condition of volunteering, I give permission for The Telling Room to conduct a background check on me, which may include a review of sex offender registries, child abuse, and criminal activity records. I understand that, if appointed, my position is conditional upon the staff at The Telling Room receiving no inappropriate information on my background. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless from liability The Telling Room, the employees and volunteers thereof, or any person or organization that may provide such information. I hereby grant to The Telling Room, and its authorized agents, vendors, officers, directors, employees, licensees, affiliates, successors, and assigns the non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, world-wide right and license to use, reproduce, display, perform, edit, create derivative works of, and distribute, in whole or in part, any photographs and/or recordings taken by me during activities sponsored by The Telling Room, for any purpose, in any and all manner or media now known or hereinafter developed. By signing below, I acknowledge that I understand that The Telling Room appreciates me and my enthusiasm, but I also acknowledge that The Telling Room is not obligated to appoint me to a volunteer position. The Telling Room accepts the service of volunteers with the understanding that such service is at the sole discretion of the organization. Volunteers understand that the Telling Room may at any time, for whatever reason, decide to end the volunteer relationship.
