Like It, Love It, Write It: A Review Writing Workshop for Telling Room Students

  • 225 Commercial Street Suite 201 Portland, ME 04101 United States (map)

We invite our young writers to experience the Portland performing arts scene, and then write about it—tell us what you think! Thanks to our community partners at Portland Ovations, Portland Stage, and the Children's Museum and Theater of Maine, we have a number of free tickets to performances over the next few weeks. We will then offer a workshop focused on the art of writing reviews. If the writer wants, we will extend an opportunity for publication via our partner's social media outlets.

The workshop will be led by Teaching Artist and author Kathryn Williams on Friday, November 3rd from 3:30pm - 5pm in our main space at The Telling Room, 225 Commercial St, Portland 04101.

Click here to register for our writing workshop and to request a pair of free tickets. We will be handing these out on a first come, first serve basis, and we will be in touch one week before the show to let you know if you've secured a pair of free tickets. All young writers are welcome to the workshop! Below you will find a description of all of the shows, including links to further descriptions from our partnering organizations.
