Open Call for The Telling Room Committee and Board Nominations

The Telling Room is seeking volunteers for specialized committees who believe in the power of youth voices and are excited to lend their expertise and experiences in service of advancing youth empowerment through writing.

The Telling Room's Board of Director seeks individuals who can serve on committees assisting with:

+ Legal expertise (nonprofit, organizational governance, employment law, land use)

+ Development/Fundraising

+ Organizational or business finance

+ Event, auction, or fundraiser coordination/execution

+ Contemporary local/national/international art and cultural expertise

+ Building/Space assessments and maintenance

+ Technology Systems

+ Not for profit leadership

+ Human resources

Committees typically meet in a hybrid format, one time a month for one hour, September through June. If interested in serving on the Board, please note that we encourage your committee service prior to Board consideration.

We prioritize the leadership of people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals, and we strongly encourage people of all historically marginalized identities to express interest.
