We're always looking for people to join us. Whether you want to tutor, assist with a workshop, help plan and produce our events, donate, or work behind the scenes, we’d welcome the support. Also, you'll get to hob-nob with some of Maine's brightest writers, published and brand new!

Young Writers Council
Are you a high school student who loves writing, The Telling Room, and awesome, creative people? Are you a leader who’s ready to take on an exciting role at The Telling Room? Are you working on some great writing and want to get some feedback? Check out the Young Writers Council. We meet the second and fourth Monday of each month from 5-7pm here at The Telling Room. We spend an hour writing, workshopping, and sharing our work, and an hour talking about TR business. Currently, we’re designing a workshop to teach to younger writers, we’ve started up the Widgery Wharf Literary Blog and we're reading through all of its submissions - we’re always bouncing around new and fun ideas for what to do next. Any high school student who’s interested in writing and storytelling (photographers, songwriters, cinematographers and writers of all sorts are welcome!) and who's ready to take on a cool leadership role is welcome to join the YWC.
Email us for more information, or to get involved.
